~From the Artist
From a young age, creativity dominated my life. I would often express my creativity through building forts, Legos, and anything I could create with the supplies at hand. As I grew up, art became my expression of emotions and self. I quickly fell in love with all mediums of art. In more chaotic parts of my life, my art reflected those feelings and emotions, and in my happier moments, the art resembled that as well. I came to understand that appreciating all forms of art, by all people, is taking a dip into the mind of others. To feel the emotions emitted through their pen, brush, or lens.
In my college years, I began to appreciate photography for more than its physical worth. Being a collegiate athlete, I learned the feeling of being on a field seeing a photographer on the sideline, knowing I’ll have pictures of myself to share with my family and friends. It became evident that photography was the very same form of art that I had grown up using as an outlet and form of expression for myself. Taking that step back I realized the beauty of still photos and what they mean to everyone they are shared with. In today’s media world, there is no better form of art to express yourself and your subject than photography. My passion for photography is giving my subjects something they can always physically have while expressing my artistic eye through my work.
I aspire to be able to give athletes, surfers, newlyweds, couples, and individuals memories they can hold onto forever. Life is, in fact, the collection of memories and moments and I take pride in capturing those moments for my clients. I was born to be an artist and at the core of my work is art. Every day I seek knowledge and improvement; constantly stretching my comfort zone further beyond what I know now. I want to continue to give my subjects art they can be happy with and share with others, and with that is consistent growth that I am committed to. But I must never forget that at the very foundation of my work, is art.
I hope you enjoy my art.
